RESIDENTS fighting plans to dump radioactive waste at a landfill site are considering their next campaign move. The step comes after waste handling firm Augean secured government approval for its plans to dump low-level nuclear waste at its landfill site in King’s Cliffe until 2013. Now campaign groups Waste Watchers and Local Democracy in Action are taking advice on whether to challenge the decision. Protesters packed the village hall, in Eagle Lane, King’s Cliffe, for a public meeting called to discuss the best way to respond to the government’s decision.
