Making sense of geological disposal

According to Radioactive Waste Management Ltd. – geological disposal uses both engineering and geology to isolate the waste and contain the radioactivity so that no harmful quantities of radioactivity reach people and the surface environment. RWM is engaging in discussions to help build understanding of geological disposal and the process to identify a site for a UK geological disposal facility. This guide answers questions that we are frequently asked by our stakeholders and the public. It is a working document and will be updated from time to time.
